Authorities have imposed a three-day curfew in Shakai Tehsil of Lower South Waziristan, restricting public movement due to ongoing security operations, Express News reported.

According to a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Nasir Khan, the curfew will be enforced in the Sangah and Anzar Cheena areas from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily, beginning Saturday.

“There will be a complete ban on stepping outside during curfew hours. The restrictions are necessary due to the movement of security forces in the area,” said the notification.

Deputy Commissioner Khan appealed to the residents of Shakai for cooperation during this critical time. “We urge the public to work with security forces to ensure the smooth execution of these measures,” he added.

The curfew is part of intensified efforts by security forces to stabilise the region following a surge in militancy. Authorities assured that the restrictions would be lifted once the situation improves.
