Mariyam Nafees announces first pregnancy on Instagram

Renowned Pakistani actress Mariyam Nafees has announced that she is expecting her first child.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Mariyam posted a message alongside a series of photos with her husband, filmmaker Amaan Ahmed.

In the pictures, the couple is seen holding a pair of baby shoes, symbolising the upcoming addition to their family.

Captioning the post, Mariyam wrote, “Oh, baby! We’re having a baby!!! Baby Am Yam coming soon, InshAllah! Blessed | MashAllah | Alhamdulillah, Tiny little toes loading.” She also shared an ultrasound image and requested fans to keep the couple in their prayers.

Mariyam and Amaan, who tied the knot on March 25, 2022, during a private Nikkah ceremony, recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary.

The couple first met on the set of an ad shoot, where they quickly became close friends before entering a relationship.

Despite the happy news, Mariyam recently addressed a fan’s insensitive comment on social media.

After a post featuring her husband received a remark suggesting the couple should prioritise having a child, Mariyam responded firmly, saying, “Kyu app professional babysitter hain? Naukri chahye? When will we learn to not be personal? By ‘we,’ I mean Pakistani awaam.”

The actress, who has appeared in numerous acclaimed dramas, continues to engage actively with her fans on social media, showcasing her personal and professional journey.
