Did Disney World Resort introduce a $10 million entry ticket?

A viral TikTok video claims Disney World Resort introduced a $10 million entry ticket.

A viral rumor recently circulated claiming that Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, was selling tickets for $10 million. The rumor reportedly originated from an Instagram page called Mouse Trap News, which currently has 106k followers.

Mouse Trap News has a history of spreading fake news. In the past, it falsely claimed that Elon Musk was purchasing Disney World and that the park had banned all children from entering.

Walt Disney World Resort spans over 25,000 acres and is one of the most well-known entertainment destinations in the United States. The resort features various attractions, including four theme parks, two water parks, a competitive sports complex, conference centers, and a complex dedicated to dining, shopping, and other activities.

However, there is no credible evidence to suggest that a $10 million ticket has been introduced by Disney World. Neither reliable news sources nor Disney's official channels have mentioned such a ticket.

As per the official Disney World website, the most expensive ticket currently available is the Disney Incredi-Pass, priced at $1,549 before taxes.

The rumor about a $10 million entry ticket originated from an Instagram post by Mouse Trap News on November 26, 2024. The site also published an article about the ticket. The site identifies itself as a parody and explicitly advises readers to take its content lightly. The site's "About" section states:

"Mouse Trap News is the world's best satire and parody site [....] We write fake stories about Disney Parks stuff. From Disney Park announcements to Disney Hotel and resort news to made-up Disney partnerships, you can be assured that anything you read here is not true, real, or accurate, but it is fun."

"So technically our slogan The Moused Trusted Name in Disney News isn't true, but we thought it was creative and funny, so we are running with it."

Mouse Trap News also included outlandish benefits linked to the supposed $10 million ticket. The website described this ticket as the Unlimited Disney Pass, which would grant the owner and three guests lifetime access to any Disney World park. 

"On top of that, it allows you to stay in any standard or pool-view hotel room on Disney World property for free, as long as there is availability. This essentially means you could live at a Disney resort and go to the parks for free every day," the website further claimed.
