Police killed a suspected dacoit and arrested three bandits including two in injured condition after alleged encounters and recovered weapons, looted money, mobile phones and other stolen items from them in different areas of the city.
Sukhan police arrested an accused in injured condition after 'an encounter' in Bhains Colony late on Wednesday night. He was identified as 27-year-old Mashuq alias Badshah. A pistol along with bullets, mobile phone, cash and motorcycle were recovered from him. Later, Mashuq died during the treatment at JPMC. Shah Latif police arrested two robbers, one in injured condition after an alleged encounter in Kohi Goth on the night between Wednesday and Thursday. The injured robber was identified as 19-year-old Zakir Ali. The other arrested accused gave his name as Aamir. A pistol, stolen mobile phones and cash were recovered from him.
