Rehman highlighted the transformative role of Pakistan's freelance community in driving the nation's digital economy. He emphasised the contributions of young professionals who have positioned Pakistan as one of the leading freelance markets globally. Pakistan's talented freelancers, predominantly youth, are earning valuable foreign exchange and expanding their presence in international markets. Their expertise in automation, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge technologies has placed Pakistan on the global tech map as a competitive player.
However, he expressed concerns over frequent internet issues in the country, which he described as a critical obstacle to the growth of this vibrant sector. "Unstable and unreliable internet connectivity is undermining the efforts of our freelancers. This not only impacts their productivity but also threatens Pakistan's reputation in the global digital marketplace. It is imperative for the government to resolve these challenges to ensure uninterrupted internet services," he said in a statement.
