Fans were left horrified when magician Max Major appeared to hang himself from a noose during a Twitch livestream hosted by Kai Cenat.

Cenat, who boasts over 15 million followers on the platform, was hosting his Mafiathon 2 livestream on Tuesday when Major played a prank on him.

In a video shared online, Major stood on a yellow platform with a noose around his neck and instructed Cenat to pull one of the handles in front of him.

When Cenat pulled a red handle, it seemed as if Major had been hanged.

Both Cenat and rapper Sexyy Red were visibly shocked, as people immediately rushed to remove the rope from Major's neck.

“What the f–k? Wait, no, no! I’m not getting banned! I might get banned! Is he good? I’ll stay here. I’ll stay here! Can I stay here?” Cenat exclaimed.

However, Major later explained that the incident was part of an elaborate prank he had planned for the young streamer.

“If you’re watching this, it means something has gone terribly wrong but what you don’t know is that was all according to my plan,” Major stated in a YouTube video on Tuesday.

“See, at the start of my performance, I said that tonight was all about choices. But not just the choices that you made tonight, but the choices that you made since the day that we met,” he continued.

“Since the first time we met, you pushed me, you challenged me, and you wanted to see me fail. And I thought tonight, I’ll give you exactly what you asked for. You see, you thought the game was for me to influence you to make the right choice.”

Major explained that his intention was “to influence” Cenat into making the wrong choice by selecting the red handle.

Cenat, however, did not find the prank amusing, expressing on his Twitch stream that he and his team were made to “look crazy.”
