IHC dismisses NADRA DG's degree appeal

ISLAMABAD:

The IHC has dismissed an appeal by NADRA's DG Zulfiqar Ahmed against the Higher Education Commission (HEC)'s decision to cancel his equivalent degree.

A six-page verdict issued by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani stated that the court provided the petitioner various opportunities to make arguments on the university's report. The petitioner withdrew the power of attorney of his lawyer after a negative report was received from the concerned US university in a bid to gain time.

The court gave the petitioner a chance to submit a written reply in his favour against the university's report. As per report, the concerned college and university does not contain any record of the petitioner.
