The case of murder of a prisoner who was killed in Borstal Jail was registered against a convicted criminal of terrorism and murder.
The police handed over the body of the victim to his relatives after post-mortem.
Superintendent Borstal Jail Syed Akbar stated in the case filed with the Kharrianwala Police that the convicted criminal prisoner, 25-year-old Muhammad Mahad, who was sentenced on November 22, is serving a 25-year prison term.
He injured Sagar Masih, an accused in the rape case, by stabbing him with a brick inside the jail. Sagar was shifted to the hospital after medical treatment but Sagar died due to deep head injuries.
The police handed over the body of the victim in the murder case to his relatives after the post-mortem.
Meanwhile, two men sexually assaulted a woman on the pretext of a job while a ten-year-old child was molested by a young man.
The police have started raids to arrest the accused after registering cases.
