Kanye West has been accused of sexual assault by Jenn An, a former contestant on America’s Next Top Model (ANTM). An, 39, filed a lawsuit against the rapper and designer on November 23, 2024, claiming that West sexually assaulted and strangled her during the filming of La Roux's 2009 music video for "In for the Kill."

According to legal documents, An alleges that the incident occurred during the production of the video in September 2010, which was filmed at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City. An, who was hired to appear in the video after gaining fame from ANTM, claims that West disrupted the shoot and took over the direction. She said West made the other models line up for evaluation before selecting two women, including An, for a more significant role in the video.

In the lawsuit, An describes how West allegedly chose her specifically, saying, “Give me the Asian girl.” She recounts that West directed her to sit next to him on a couch while wearing lingerie. An further claims that West, who was allegedly unfamiliar with the song's lyrics, began making incoherent sounds during the playback.

An accuses West of then becoming physical with her, allegedly choking her with one hand, then both hands, before forcibly inserting his fingers into her throat. She describes the assault as lasting more than a minute and claims that West referred to the incident as “art,” comparing himself to Picasso.

The lawsuit, which seeks punitive damages and compensation for emotional and physical distress, argues that West violated the New York Gender Motivated Violence Act. An has requested a jury trial for damages related to the alleged assault.

West has not yet commented on the accusations.
