Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has removed his LinkedIn profile just four days after creating it, following a wave of online trolling.
The actor, who made his debut on the professional networking platform with excitement, quickly amassed over 20,000 followers. However, his enthusiasm was short-lived as netizens ridiculed his bio, which described him as a "passionate actor with 300-crore megahits."
Varun’s bio, which also highlighted his involvement in content-driven films, led to significant backlash. One line in particular, referencing his alleged 300-crore hits, triggered mockery from users, with some questioning which of his films had reached such box-office success.

Other users sarcastically remarked that his claim seemed out of place, given the mixed reception of some of his recent releases.
Varun’s LinkedIn debut included a post about his decade-long career in the film industry, where he shared lessons about teamwork and hard work, and expressed excitement about connecting with professionals beyond entertainment.
However, the trolling seemed to have had an impact, and his profile was deleted shortly thereafter.
The actor’s brief time on LinkedIn raised questions among netizens about the motivations behind his profile creation. Some speculated that his presence on the platform could have been part of a promotional strategy, similar to past celebrity stunts.
Others simply expressed confusion over the move, with a few pointing out that LinkedIn had begun to resemble social media platforms like Instagram.
While Varun has not publicly addressed his decision to delete his LinkedIn profile, the account remains absent as of now.
