PESHAWAR:

Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI's founding chairman Imran Khan, has stated that she has stepped forward on Khan's orders and urged the public to do the same for his release.

Despite distancing herself from politics earlier, Bushra Bibi, the wife of PTI founder and chairman Imran Khan, has now embraced the colors of politics.

Following Nusrat Bhutto, Begum Naseem Wali Khan, and Kulsoom Nawaz, she has entered the political arena for her husband's release.

Her participation in the PTI rally from Peshawar to Islamabad marks her first step into political life.

Previously, Bushra Bibi kept herself separate from politics and even refrained from participating in PTI's protest campaigns after Imran Khan's arrest. However, after his release on bail, she came to Peshawar. When Imran Khan gave the final call for the Islamabad protest, she actively mobilised for the cause.

In her first meeting, Bushra Bibi stated that she had no intention of entering politics, but was compelled by circumstances. Reluctantly, she has now taken on the colors of politics.

She is not the first woman to step out of her domestic life into the political field for her husband's release. Previously, Begum Naseem Wali Khan fought for her husband Khan Abdul Wali, Nusrat Bhutto for Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and Kulsoom Nawaz for Nawaz Sharif's release.

When Nawaz Sharif was arrested, Kulsoom Nawaz, along with Maryam Nawaz, came to Peshawar to the residence of Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and announced the launch of a movement for his release from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Both Begum Nusrat Bhutto and Begum Naseem Wali Khan participated in electoral politics, but Kulsoom Nawaz limited her involvement to the movement for Nawaz Sharif's release.
