Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of a constable who had been injured during an attack by rioters.
She expressed sympathies and condolence with the family of Constable Muba-shir.
She said, "Police personnel performing their duties for the sake of protecting life and property of the citizens are brave sons of our dear homeland."
She said it was regrettable that more than 20 police officials had been injured in attacks.

She said shots had been fired at Ghazi Barotha, Mianwali, Hazara Motorway and other places.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said, "Punjab Police has been kept unarmed to avoid clashes. It is still unarmed."
She said attack by police of one province on that of another using government re-sources was tantamount to tarnishing national unity.
"Instead of a protest, this movement is an attempt of armed terrorism," she al-leged.
