Quetta shuts down for 11th consecutive day

A complete strike was observed across Quetta on Monday as protests intensified over the kidnapping of a 10-year-old boy, Muhammad Musawir, from Multani Mohalla 11 days ago.

The strike, called by political parties, transporters, and traders, aimed to pressure the government to recover the missing child.

All major highways linking Balochistan to the rest of the country, including Quetta-Chaman, Quetta-Karachi, and Quetta-Islamabad routes, were blocked by protesters, suspending all traffic.

Enraged demonstrators burned tires at various locations, demanding immediate action.

The sit-in at Balochistan Chowk entered its 11th consecutive day as political workers continued their protests to pressurize the authorities. Police confirmed the kidnapping but admitted they are still clueless about the child's whereabouts.

Political leaders urged the government to step up efforts for the child's recovery and warned of intensifying their protests if no progress is made.
