Snoop Dogg has addressed his mention in Kendrick Lamar's newly released album, GNX, which has reignited conversations surrounding the rapper's ongoing feud with Drake.
The track, titled wacced out murals, features a line that seemingly targets Snoop: “Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”
The line refers to Drake’s controversial Taylor Made Freestyle, a track where he allegedly used AI technology to mimic the voices of rap legends Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.
While Tupac's estate threatened legal action, leading to the song’s removal, Snoop had a more humorous reaction, sharing the track and jokingly saying in a video: “They did what? When? How? Are you sure? [Sigh] Y’all have a good night."
Following the release of Kendrick’s album, Snoop responded on X (formerly Twitter), writing: “K dot new album GNX. It was the edibles west west king.”
The tweet suggests the rapper has taken the reference lightly and even shows admiration for Lamar’s latest work.
Though some fans speculate Snoop's praise indicates support for Kendrick over Drake, Snoop clarified earlier this week that he remains neutral in the feud. “
Not Like Us,” a previous Kendrick track addressing the feud, became a unifying anthem for the West Coast, hitting number one on the charts and further solidifying Kendrick’s influence in the hip-hop scene.
Fans now eagerly anticipate whether Drake will respond musically or let the feud rest. Meanwhile, Snoop’s playful reaction to the situation has only added to the buzz surrounding Kendrick’s surprise album.
