ABBOTTABAD:

Two real brothers were allegedly killed by their rivals near Dehmtor Bypass Road in Nawan Shahar police limits on early Saturday, police said.

Muhammad Ilyas of Doetar Dehmtor complained to the police that his two sons Fahad and Owais closed their milk shop at Bani Chowk and were returning home at midnight between Friday and Saturday.

As they reached Takiya on the Dehmtor Bypass Road, the suspects Aurangzeb Khan and sons Amir, Noman, Suleman and Usman, who had set up an ambush by blocking the road with their dumper truck and a parked vehicle, opened indiscriminate fire on Fahad and Owais.

Both victims died on the spot. The motive for the enmity between the accused and the victims stemmed from a previous murder conflict. The complainant stated in the First Information Report that the accused had previously threatened the victims with death over a minor argument.

The Nawan Shahar police registered a case under sections 302/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code, launched an investigation and started efforts to arrest the runaway suspects.
