KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has admitted a petition demanding de-sealing of former president Dr. Arif Alvi's dental clinic.

The court had reserved its judgment on the petition earlier which was announced as a short order on Friday. The detailed order will be given later.

The petition mentioned that due to abrupt sealing of the clinic, follow-up check-ups of dental patients were jeopardized, many of which have scheduled surgeries and ongoing treatment. The plea also mentioned that the records of the patients were also present in the sealed clinic. The petition urged the court to order de-sealing of the clinic, alleging that the sealing of Dr. Alvi's clinic was based on political vendetta.
