PESHAWAR:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalised its plan for the November 24 protest, which includes the booking of heavy machinery.

According to PTI Peshawar region president, Arbab Asim, there is no shortage of heavy machinery this time. "We will use private machinery to remove obstacles, and the responsibility for security will rest with the Youth Wing."

A 9,000-member squad has been prepared, and the protest will continue until the release of the founding chairman, other detained leaders, and workers, he said.

Arbab Asim explained that participants have been instructed to bring essential supplies, including bedding, mobile chargers, tear gas protection gear, salt, water, tea, cooking utensils, and food supplies. Each vehicle will ensure the wellbeing of its passengers. He emphasised that no government resources will be used during the protest, and private machinery has been arranged to clear the roads.

The plan includes having heavy machinery and a security squad lead the convoy, clearing paths for the massive crowd following behind.

The Peshawar and Khyber convoys are expected to depart from the Peshawar Interchange around 10am, joined by participants from Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, and Swabi at the Swabi rest area. Delegations from Mohmand, Bajaur, and Malakand divisions will also merge at this point.

Arbab Asim further revealed that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, will join the convoy at the Swabi rest area and lead the procession.

A special container has been prepared for the CM. He clarified that police security will not accompany them, nor will government employees be asked to participate in the protest. Efforts will also be made to avoid taking armed guards along.

Each MPA has been tasked with bringing 5,000 participants, while MNAs are expected to bring up to 10,000 supporters, with vehicle arrangements managed by representatives from their respective constituencies.

Security responsibilities have been assigned to the Insaf Youth Wing, which has trained a 9,000-member squad equipped with necessary protective gear, including shields against tear gas and rubber bullets. Protesters are determined to continue their demonstration in Islamabad until their demands are met.

On Thursday, PTI founder Imran Khan has said that despite being granted bail, he has not been released, and now the planned protest march to Islamabad on November 24 will take place under all circumstances.

The founder of the PTI stated that the deadline has passed, and nothing can stop his
