ISLAMABAD:

The 'Pakistan's Emerging Art 2024' exhibition provided a vibrant showcase of creativity, celebrating diverse artistic expressions and offering a platform for young talent to shine.

Featuring a wide array of captivating artworks—ranging from contemporary pieces to experimental forms—the event highlighted the dynamism of Pakistan's artistic landscape, fostering fresh perspectives and greater recognition for emerging artists.

The exhibition's featured artworks vividly reflected the exceptional talent of young Pakistani artists.

Each piece told a unique story, skilfully employing colour, light, depth, and form to invite viewers into a world of personal interpretation.

The exhibition's meticulous care in presentation created a harmonious flow, guiding audiences through a cohesive artistic journey.

"This exhibition holds significant importance for us, as it has long been our passion to present the creations of emerging talent from across Pakistan on a unified platform," said Zainab Omar, founder of Artcade.

She emphasised the importance of such opportunities for visibility and their confidence boost to new artists.

"The first exhibition is crucial for an artist's visibility among art enthusiasts and their self-esteem," Omar added.

"We coach and guide them, and it's heartening to see several artists we've supported now enjoying successful careers. This was our first annual group show, featuring over 70 artists and more than 90 works of art.

The atmosphere at the launch was electric, with artists and art lovers enthusiastically appreciating the work."

Roma Ali, the curator at Artcade, who had been working on the exhibition since the start of 2024, expressed her delight at the response. "We're thrilled with the appreciation the artists have received," she said, underscoring the exhibition's success in drawing attention to Pakistan's vibrant emerging art scene.
