Aishwarya Rai celebrated her daughter Aaradhya's 13th birthday with heartfelt tributes, marking her late father's anniversary.

However, husband Abhishek Bachchan’s absence fuelled rumours about their relationship.

The Instagram post, shared on Wednesday, included a series of personal moments, including images of Aishwarya and Aaradhya paying tribute to her father with folded hands in front of his photograph.

Aishwarya wrote a touching message, referring to her father and daughter as "the eternal love" of her life.

She also shared images celebrating Aaradhya turning 13, including throwback pictures of her daughter with her late grandfather and moments from the birthday celebration, including a birthday balloon reading, "You're officially a teenager."

While the focus of the post was on family, the absence of Abhishek Bachchan from both the photos and the celebrations raised eyebrows. The couple’s last public appearance together was at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, where they arrived separately.

This separation in public events, coupled with Abhishek’s social media activity, has fueled ongoing rumours regarding the status of their marriage. In particular, the actor liked an Instagram post discussing "grey divorces," which has led to further speculation.

Despite the rumours, neither Aishwarya Rai nor Abhishek Bachchan have confirmed or denied any issues in their relationship. The couple, who married in April 2007, have maintained a relatively private life. They have one daughter, Aaradhya, born in 2011.

Meanwhile the bond between Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur has also sparked curiosity. The two actors, who starred together in the 2022 film Dasvi, shared noticeable chemistry during promotional events. In one interview, Nimrat jokingly remarked on the duration of marriages, saying, "Marriages don’t last that long," to which Abhishek responded with a laugh, "Thanks."

Earlier an old letter from Amitabh Bachchan to actress Nimrat Kaur resurfaced, reigniting discussions. The letter accompanied by a bouquet of flowers, written in 2022, praised Nimrat for her performance in the film Dasvi.

The note, which Nimrat shared on her social media, shows Amitabh expressing deep admiration for her performance in Dasvi.

“We have hardly had any interactions or meetings. The last was a compliment I gave at an event at YRF—for the Cadbury ad. But your work in Dasvi is exceptional—nuances, gestures, all! My deep admiration and congratulations. Love, Amitabh Bachchan.”
