Toshakhana case: Imran, Bushra likely to be indicted today

Hearing to be conducted by Special Judge Central, Shah Rukh Arjumand, at Adiala Jail

Former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi is likely to be indicted in Toshakhana 2.0 case today, Express News reporetd on Thursday.

The hearing will be conducted by Special Judge Central, Shah Rukh Arjumand, at Adiala Jail.

During the previous hearing, Bushra Bibi was absent, and a notice was issued for the cancellation of her bail due to her non-appearance.

The court had ruled that her bail would be revoked, and the surety bonds would be forfeited as a result of her absence.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on November 20 granted bail to former prime minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana 2.0 case.

IHC's Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb approved PTI founder's bail plea, ordering the latter to submit surety bonds of Rs1 million each for securing the bail.

The court also directed the incarcerated former premier to appear before trial court following the bail.

Following his bail, Imran Khan was rearrested in another terrorism case registered at New Town Police Station in Rawalpindi.

This follows his recent bail approval in the Toshakhana case by the Islamabad High Court, Express News reported.

After securing bail in the Toshakhana case, Khan was apprehended in relation to charges filed against him at New Town Police Station, which include arson, stone-throwing, resisting the police, and damaging government property.

The case also includes terrorism-related charges.

A team led by the SSP Investigation is currently interrogating Imran Khan. The spokesperson for Rawalpindi Police has stated that Imran Khan will be presented in court today for a physical remand hearing.
