AI coming to Sindh Assembly, speaker tells Turkish envoy

Speaker Qadir Shah threw light on the plans of training young parliamentarians and enhancing their legislative skills.

As artificial intelligence spreads across all sectors of life, the law makers will also be utilising the ease of compiling and analysing data for policy decisions.

Use of AI in Sindh Assembly came up during discussion between Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu and Sindh Assembly Speaker Awais Qadir Shah. Turkish Consul General in Karachi Cemal Sangu was also present in the meeting.

They discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, however, focus of the discussion was trade and investment in Sindh, legislative process, inter-parliamentary cooperation and the importance of Artificial Intelligence for e-parliament programme.

Speaker Qadir Shah threw light on the plans of training young parliamentarians and enhancing their legislative skills.

Turkish ambassador praised the strategic plan of the Sindh Assembly and stressed on the need of prospects for future cultural and parliamentary exchange programmes.

The speaker appreciated Turkey's support in the fields of relief, development, education and health sectors and invited the Turkish delegation to visit the historical Sindh Assembly building.

At the end of the meeting, the speaker presented Sindhi cap, ajrak, and a commemorative shield of the Sindh Assembly to the Turkish ambassador and consul general.
