Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that terrorists want to impede development of Balochistan. During a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, she said the Punjab government would provide full assistance to curb the menace of terrorism.

"The progress of Balochistan is akin to development of Pakistan," she added. She said, "We will work together to promote national unity and inter-provincial harmony."

CM Sarfraz Bugti said, "We have to work together under a comprehensive strategy for the progress of our dear homeland and prosperity of its people." The leaders discussed the political situation and promotion of inter-provincial harmony.
