Kehlani has strongly denied allegations of inappropriate behavior with her five-year-old daughter, calling out “doctored” texts shared by her ex, Javaughn Young-White. The texts, part of an ongoing custody battle, included a statement where Kehlani allegedly described her daughter as her “wife” in a past life, sparking online criticism.

In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, the singer clarified the context of the tarot reading that inspired her comment, insisting it was lighthearted and never meant to be taken seriously. She accused White of altering their messages to damage her reputation, stating, “To make me seem like I consider myself to be in an inappropriate relationship with my DAUGHTER is the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever heard.”
 

Kehlani, who filed a restraining order against White in August, cited years of alleged abuse as part of her ongoing legal disputes. She also addressed the public scrutiny, stating she’s “exhausted” by the ordeal and urged others to keep her daughter’s name out of their discussions. The Grammy-nominated artist vowed to handle the rest of the allegations in court.
