Democratic Process: ‘Floods delay local body elections’

LARKANA: The minister for local bodies, Agha Siraj Durrani, has said that municipality elections are not possible because of the floods. He was talking to the media in Mirzapur. According to him, a committee led by federal minister Khursheed Shah is negotiating with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, but only they can tell when they plan to rejoin the government. He said that their coalition partners have not been seen in rain-affected areas to help people.
