The second season of the Kashmir Volleyball Super League (KVSL) has officially commenced at the Jalalabad Sports Complex in Muzaffarabad.
Organised with the support of Pakistan’s armed forces, the tournament will see 10 teams from different districts of Azad Kashmir competing for the title, Express News reported.
Matches will run until November 23, showcasing talent from remote areas of Azad Kashmir.
Players expressed excitement about the opportunity the KVSL provides, with one player noting how the league enables young athletes from rural regions to demonstrate their skills on a larger stage.
Another participant highlighted that the league would be instrumental in promoting volleyball talent among the youth.
Last year, KVSL was held in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, with events taking place at two venues under official patronage. To kick off the tournament, the KVSL Night was held at Neelum Stadium, where the event's trophy was unveiled, and players interacted with the public.
A promotional tour featuring a KVSL bus also toured Muzaffarabad, including photo shoots at key locations such as the Jammu and Kashmir Martyrs Monument and Thoori Park.
The competition included teams representing various divisions, such as Muzaffarabad Bahadurs, Muzaffarabad Jambaaz, and Muzaffarabad Shooters from the Muzaffarabad division, alongside others from the Poonch and Mirpur divisions.
