Conor McGregor reacts to Jake Paul's win over Mike Tyson with a controversial Prichard Colón remark

Conor McGregor didn't hold back after Jake Paul’s unanimous decision victory over Mike Tyson in their highly publicized fight. 

The Irish MMA superstar posted a controversial tweet, later deleted, suggesting Paul’s next opponent could be former boxer Prichard Colón, who suffers from severe physical and neurological impairments following a tragic injury in the ring. 

McGregor’s comment, “They are eyeing Prichard Colón for next opponent,” drew immediate criticism online for its insensitivity.  

Colón, who sustained a life-altering subdural hematoma after repeated illegal punches in a 2015 fight, remains an enduring symbol of the dangers of boxing. McGregor’s remarks highlight his ongoing disdain for Paul, a rivalry fueled by Paul’s challenges to fight the MMA legend.  

The backlash didn’t stop there, as UFC CEO Dana White also mocked Paul, joking, “If he beats Mike Tyson, he’s going to fight Clint Eastwood next. 

Clint Eastwood’s 93 years old.” This criticism follows Paul’s history of choosing older opponents, with Tyson, 58, being the latest.  

Despite the controversies, Paul’s fight against Tyson garnered massive attention, solidifying his status as a polarizing figure in boxing and entertainment. McGregor, meanwhile, is preparing for his anticipated UFC return, though his opponent remains unconfirmed.
