Pak Army rescues stranded travellers in Deosai

Locals were travelling from Giltri to Skardu via Deosai when they were marooned in Deosai amid heavy snowfall.

SKARDU:

Pakistan Army personnel have rescued the locals stranded in Deosai near Skardu due to heavy snowfall.

Transported to Giltri after a rescue operation, they expressed their gratitude to the Army for helping them in tough conditions.

The locals had been travelling in two cars from Giltri to Skardu via Deosai when they were marooned in Deosai amid heavy snowfall.

Their family members and area residents had then sought the Army's help for their recovery following which a ground and air rescue operation had been launched in harsh weather which included torrential snowfall.

The family members and locals subsequently thanked the Pakistan Army for the prompt rescue operation.
