14 killed in Punjab road crashes

610 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals.

LAHORE:

At least 14 people died, whereas 1387 were injured in 1311 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Out of these, 610 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 777 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams. The majority (77%) involved motorbikes.

Furthermore, the analysis showed those 800 drivers, 57 underage drivers, 159 pedestrians, and 442 passengers were among the victims of road traffic crashes. The statistics show that 224 RTCs were reported in Lahore which affected 235 persons placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list.
