Paul Mescal stole the spotlight at the world premiere of ‘Gladiator II’ in London’s Leicester Square, joined by co-stars and friends including Andrew Scott.

The Irish actor, known for his role in ‘Normal People,’ stars as Lucius, the son of Lucilla, portrayed by Connie Nielsen in this highly anticipated sequel to Ridley Scott’s Oscar-winning film ‘Gladiator.’

Andrew Scott, Mescal’s friend and co-star from ‘All of Us Strangers,’ was among the notable attendees, embracing Mescal on the red carpet. Other stars present included Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, and director Ridley Scott, who also attended the Irish premiere of the film held at Dublin’s Lighthouse Cinema last week.

Set decades after the original, ‘Gladiator II’ follows Lucius as he is forced into gladiatorial combat after Roman soldiers, led by General Marcus Acacius, invade his town. With its grand release on November 15, the film marks a milestone moment for Mescal, who shared his excitement, remarking he "never expected it to be this big."
