The district administration has resumed its operation against illegal constructions on the Murree Expressway, demolishing several buildings.

After a brief pause, the authorities restarted the operation, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sheryar Shirazi, with heavy police deployment. The operation began Thursday at a site where, just a few days ago, public protests and intervention by MNA Raja Osama Ashfaq Sarwar had led to a temporary halt.

Using heavy machinery, the authorities demolished the buildings, continuing the operation throughout the day on Thursday. More residential buildings were brought down as part of the ongoing action. The affected residents have expressed their strong anger and frustration, calling the operation unjust.
