CAA warns of runway risks at Karachi Airport

The CAA warned that moisture on Runway 25L can increase the risk of aircraft skidding

KARACHI:

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued on Wednesday a NOTAM (notice to airmen) advising caution due to potential slippery conditions on runway at Karachi Airport, triggered by seasonal weather changes.

The advisory specifically targets Runway 25L, where pilots are urged to exercise heightened caution during takeoff and landing, particularly at night, as weather changes bring increased moisture.

The CAA warned that moisture on Runway 25L can increase the risk of aircraft skidding, raising the possibility of incidents if precautions are not observed.
