Xpeng Aeroht, the flying car division of Xpeng, has secured significant pre-orders for its modular flying car, the Land Aircraft Carrier, at the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) in Zhuhai.

The company announced receiving pre-orders for 2008 units from 12 customers across sectors such as transportation, tourism, real estate, and technology, marking the largest order in the flying car industry to date.

The airshow, running from November 12 to 17, also saw Xpeng Aeroht showcase the world's first public flight of its modular flying car.

Xpeng Aeroht plans to begin pre-sales by the end of 2024, with mass production and deliveries set for 2026. The flying car will be priced under 2 million yuan ($277,390).

Founded in 2013 and majority-owned by Xpeng, Xpeng Aeroht is developing Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing vehicles. The company’s new flying car includes both a flying car and a parent vehicle capable of recharging it.

Xpeng Aeroht is also building a flying car manufacturing base in Guangzhou, which will have the capacity to produce 10,000 units annually.
