Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, stirred up the internet after debuting a new logo for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), an initiative he will co-head with entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy under the direction of President-elect Donald Trump.

The acronym 'DOGE' is widely associated with Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency Musk has supported over the years, which delighted many fans of the tech mogul.

Musk, appointed co-head of the department by Trump on November 13, 2024, unveiled the logo on his X account, where users flooded the post with reactions.

“‘Omg super cute!!’” commented one user, reflecting the widespread amusement across social media.

Another fan admitted, “I never considered wearing merchandise representing a government agency before, but…” hinting at Musk's unique way of making government branding appealing.

Requests for “T-shirts and hoodies” with the logo popped up as X users joked about sporting merchandise for a federal department. The playful design features a Shiba Inu, familiar to Dogecoin fans, giving the department a lighthearted image.

Trump, who appointed Musk and Ramaswamy to oversee government efficiency, touted them as "two wonderful Americans" capable of leading the “Save America” movement by “dismantling government bureaucracy” and “slashing wasteful expenditures.”

On X, Musk added, “All actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency,” pledging accountability to the public.

Vivek Ramaswamy, who recently withdrew from the Ohio Senate race to support the DOGE initiative, expressed his excitement in a tweet tagging Musk and promising, “We will not go gently.”

While it remains to be seen if DOGE will operate as a formal government agency (a move requiring congressional approval), Musk’s and Ramaswamy’s advisory roles reflect Trump’s nontraditional approach to government restructuring.
