TANDLIANWALA:

The SHO of Kharrianwala and three other police officials have been found guilty in an inquiry of filing a false drug case.

The inquiry report recommended dismissal of the case.

According to sources, the police had filed the case against Asif, a resident of Majuran, on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Ehtesham Abbas on June 14. The suspect was sent to jail, while his family members approached senior police officers and SSP Investigation Rana Abdul Wahab handed over the investigation to Gulberg DSP Waqar Azim.

The family of the suspect alleged that SHO Mussadiq Riaz had colluded with their opponents and kept Asif in illegal custody.
