Andy Samberg recently shared that actress Amy Adams turned down a "very dirty" song on Saturday Night Live in 2008 to protect young fans of her hit Disney film Enchanted.

In a November 4 episode of The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast, Samberg, 46, detailed Adams’ decision, explaining that she didn’t want young viewers of Enchanted to encounter inappropriate content. The proposed song, intended as a comedic duet, was ultimately replaced by the track "Hero’s Song," where Samberg played a Batman-type hero trying to protect Adams’ character.

Reflecting on Adams’ choice, Samberg recalled an encounter with a young fan during their collaboration, admitting it made him realize the responsibility Adams felt toward her young audience. Adams later reprised her role as Giselle in 2022’s Disenchanted, and her recent career choices, including her role in Nightbitch, have allowed her to explore a range of new characters and narratives beyond the fairytale genre.
