Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister's Adviser of on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif has claimed that Maryam Nawaz has flown to Geneva for a holiday in a private jet.
He stated that while the people are struggling to breathe due to smog, father and daughter are enjoying fresh air in Geneva.
Barrister Saif remarked on the trip, saying that the people of Punjab have been left at the mercy of severe smog while both father and daughter have gone on a European tour. Reports suggest that Maryam Nawaz hired a private jet filled with trunks and suitcases. He added that the country's state is pitiful, yet their royal expenses show no signs of stopping.
Daily life in Punjab is disrupted by the severe smog, and their trip to Geneva is an insult to the people of Punjab.
"This behavior is expected from the leaders of Form 47. Going to Europe for surgery and treatment raises questions about the state of Punjab's hospitals." He claimed that despite holding office multiple times, they haven't built a single hospital where they could seek treatment themselves.
"Punjab's hospitals are facing a shortage of medicines and basic facilities, while Maryam Nawaz, who frequently praises Punjab's hospitals, has gone abroad for her own treatment. Looting the national treasury has always been a favorite activity of the Sharif family."
Also, the CM's adviser stated that necessary steps are being taken to restore student unions, adding these bodies would be made active.
Speaking at an All-Parties Conference of students in Charsadda, Barrister Saif mentioned that a meeting between student organisations and the chief minister will soon be arranged. He said they will proceed in consultation with student organidations.
He highlighted that harassment of women in educational institutions is a concerning issue, and the provincial government will take solid steps to prevent such incidents.
He added that societies that do not learn from past experiences fail.
