Woman, lover held for murdering husband

Police claimed to have arrested a woman and her alleged lover, who reportedly confessed to the killing woman's husband and dumping the body in fields in Bata Pur.

The deceased, identified as Sabir, a resident of Bata Pur, was found brutally murdered several days ago.

His body showed signs of torture and multiple wounds inflicted with a sharp weapon.

Police said the assailants had abandoned the body in the fields before fleeing the scene. During the investigation, police grew suspicious of Sabir's wife, Kaneez Bibi, and detained her for questioning. Under interrogation, Kaneez reportedly admitted to conspiring with her lover, Asghar, to kill Sabir. She claimed the murder was planned after Sabir became aware of her relationship with Asghar.

Together, they devised a plan, killed Sabir, and disposed of his body in the fields. Following her confession, police arrested Asghar and recovered the weapon used in the murder. The case remains under investigation as police continue to gather further evidence.
