Pakistani actress Zoya Nasir has criticised the social media influencers for "ruining" the lives of young people.
In a recent podcast appearance, the actress responded to several questions from the host, addressing the impact of social media influencers who deceive young girls by showcasing a false version of their lives. She questioned whether this was appropriate.
Zoya Nasir responded seriously, criticising influencers for presenting fabricated content to gain likes and views, while sharing misleading details about their lives, which creates feelings of inferiority among their followers.
She attributed the rising depression and frustration among youth to these very influencers, stating that the lavish and luxurious false lives displayed by influencers are putting ordinary people into depression.
Zoya Nasir advised celebrities to incorporate reality into their lives and share truthful details with their fans, urging them to promote authenticity over fantasy.
