Seven terrorists killed in K-P, Balochistan

Pakistan has consistently been asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management.

RAWALPINDI:

Seven terrorists were killed in three separate engagements with security forces in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, including an infiltration bid from across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, the media wing of the military said on Monday.

According to the ISPR, security forces picked the movement of a group of terrorists in the general area Khamrang in South Waziristan district, who were trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

“Own troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. Resultantly, five khwarij were sent to hell, while three khwarij got injured,” the ISPR said in a statement. It added that another terrorist was killed in a separate intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan.

“An intelligence-based operation was conducted by Security Forces in general area Dosali, North Waziristan district. During conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the khwarij’s location, resultantly one kharji Ahmed Shah@ [alias] Intizar was sent to hell,” the statement added.

Pakistan has consistently been asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. The interim Afghan government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan, the ISPR said.

“Security Forces of Pakistan are determined and remain committed to secure its borders and eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country,” the statement concluded.

In a separate statement, the ISPR said that an exchange of fire took place between security forces and the terrorists in the Nushki district of Balochistan in which one terrorist was killed.
