Imprisoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is being mentally tortured in the Adiala jail in Rawalpindi, Khan's sister Aleema alleged on Monday.

Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, said that her brother has not faced physical torture, but has endured mental torment, as reported by Express News.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail with Imran Khan’s lawyer, Salman Akram Raja, Aleema shared that Dr. Asim had examined Imran and found him stable, though he had visibly lost body mass.

“There may not have been physical torture, but the mental pressure is clear,” she said, referencing Panjotha’s experience.

Aleema further commented that those who consider themselves above the law impose suffering on whomever they choose. "What crime did Intezar Panjutha commit?" she questioned.

"Imran Khan was even blamed for Zille Shah’s death. Now, investigation officers are being instructed in court to lie without fear of consequence," she added.

The report noted that Aleema described Imran Khan's movement as a "Revolution for Justice," highlighting that anyone could face the same fate as Intezar Panjutha.

"If people protest in London, their families are targeted in Pakistan, so justice will now be sought in the UK," she stated.

Aleema also appealed to the new Chief Justice, warning that unchecked lawlessness could lead people to take matters into their own hands.

"Imran Khan’s life is at risk," she claimed, emphasizing that he remains steadfast in his demands for democracy and rule of law, with no intentions of seeking a deal.

“They have no plan to release him, so we must peacefully protest and use our constitutional rights,” she said.

Salman Akram Raja urged the nation to stand united, adding, "There is no sanctity left for privacy.

Starting May 9, we will launch nationwide protests from Swabi. This struggle will conclude with Imran Khan's freedom," he said.
