A Look at the Kamala Harris Endorsements: Who's Backing Her in the Upcoming Presidential Election?

The VP gains momentum with celebrity and political endorsements ahead of the 2024 presidential race.

Just hours after President Joe Biden announced his exit from the 2024 presidential race, endorsements for Vice President Kamala Harris started pouring in. The current vice president and former California senator has garnered support from a mix of political figures and celebrities, giving her a significant advantage in the upcoming election.

One of the most notable endorsements comes from Taylor Swift, who voiced her support for Harris following the presidential debate on September 10.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” Swift posted on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself cuddling her cat, Benjamin Button. “I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make.” She humorously signed the post, “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady,” referencing JD Vance’s comments about Harris that gained traction when she became the presumptive nominee.

Many celebrities have expressed their reasons for supporting Harris, highlighting her accomplishments as a key member of the Biden administration. Others have simply emphasized her as the best candidate for the job. There's palpable excitement around the prospect of a woman—and a woman of color—holding the presidency.
