As a gesture of respect to and solidarity with the Hindu community, Sonya Hussaiyn observed a star-studded Diwali with her celebrity peers. From preparation to celebration, she kept her followers in the loop by sharing various tidbits from her day to Instagram Stories.

She began with a laid-back clip of her watching the music video for Drake's Hotline Bling, as she reposed in a chair and got her hair done. "Getting ready for the Diwali celebration. Wishing a beautiful Diwali to the entire Hindu community! Sending you all my love!" she wrote.

The next clip she shared was of a decorated dinner table. Tall candles took the centre while bowls of yellow and red flowers stretched across the length of the table mat. On either side of the mat were steel containers and cutlery, as well as a buffet of dishes. The incoherent yet enthusiastic chatter of attendees drummed in the background.

A number of stylish selfies joined the mix as well, including those with friends. Sonya stunned in a red, floral saree, with a tika pinned to her forehead. Her hair flowed in loose waves, unrestrained by bands or clips of any sort. Celebrity peers she posed with included Tara Mehmood, Sanam Saeed, Sarwat Gilani, Sheheryar Munawar, and even famed designer Deepak Perwani.

Aside from the halwa and mithaiyan, the 28-year-old actor had plenty of sweet snaps to share. Food and inaudible conversations were featured in her Stories in abundance, some updates even accompanied with music.

While the night was decked with traditional celebration, candles and flowers, and the unstoppable chatter of friends, Sonya's Stories for the following day saw a Western turn. If there's a pattern to her 24-hour updates, it's that she is a certified foodie.

Coffee art and sandwiches earned highlights in the relaxed events of her day. Other than this, the Tich Button actor set out on a solo drive because who doesn't love a refreshing me-time to wind down after an eventful few days? With music in her and the daylight shining on her ride, Sonya drove through the clear streets, and hopefully didn't get stuck in traffic along the way.

Despite the more recent updates, it is clear that Diwali night was an unforgettable time for the Moor actor as she kept turning back to the memories through re-shares on her Stories. Free-spirited as they are, Sonya's frequent updates are evidence for just how dynamic her life truly is and how much she cherishes every moment of it.
