The Special Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi Central Jail has acquitted three suspects, including Uzair Baloch, the alleged Don of Lyari gang war, in the cases of kidnapping and killing four people, including police personnel, on the basis of lack of evidence.
The prosecution could not prove the crime against Uzair Baloch and other accused. Those acquitted include Uzair Jan Baloch, Riyaz Sarwar, and Sher Afsar.
Defence counsels Abid Zaman and Farooq Haider Jatoi Advocates, maintained that Uzair Baloch has said in his statement in the court that he did not kill the victims.
The prosecution has no evidence against Uzair Baloch and others.
According to the police report, police personnel, Lala Ameen, Sher Afzal Khan and Ghazi Khan were killed on August 1, 2010.
The victims were kidnapped from near Mewa Shah Graveyard and handed over to Uzair Baloch, who along with his accomplices, Sikandar Sikku, Sarwar Baloch and Akbar Baloch, killed them and buried the bodies in the graveyard.
A case was registered against the accused in the New Town police station.
