Sudden strike: Mortar shell kills one, injures five in Khyber Agency

KHYBER AGENCY:


A mortar shell fired from an undisclosed place struck a house in Khyber Agency, killing one person and injuring five others.

Sources said the shell hit Gulab Khan’s house, situated on Malgay Road.

The injured included nine-year-old Mujeeb Afridi and wives of Anwer, Naqeeb and Alif Khan. They were shifted to hospitals near Peshawar. Sources at the hospital said the injured were out of danger.

In another incident, Ransoo Khel, son of Khan Akbar Sanzal Khel, died when a stray bullet hit him.

Nato oil tanker targeted

A Nato tanker escaped a bomb explosion. The bomb was installed near Teddy Bazaar on the Pakistan-Afghanistan highway.

The powerful explosion shook the entire area as the explosion’s sound was heard in distant places.

Fortunately, no human or financial loss was reported.
