The Manhattan Alien Abduction is a new docu-series on Netflix that premiered on October 30, 2024. It delves into the intriguing story of Linda Napolitano, a Manhattan housewife who claims she was abducted by aliens in November 1989.

Produced by Story Films, a UK-based company founded by Peter Beard and David Nath, the series features executive producers Peter Beard, Bruce Fletcher, and Darren Kemp. The official synopsis from Netflix states: "A woman claims to have been abducted from her bedroom in Manhattan. This docuseries explores whether it was an elaborate hoax — or proof of alien life."

The docu-series includes Linda's personal narratives about her experience, alongside insights from Budd Hopkins, a researcher focused on alien abductions. Most importantly, it aims to investigate the truth behind the Manhattan Alien Abduction and address the controversial question it raises: does this provide irrefutable proof of alien life, or is it merely an elaborate deception?

The Manhattan Alien Abduction follows Linda Napolitano, who alleged that she was taken from her 12th-floor Manhattan apartment by aliens on November 30, 1989. The limited series recounts how a blue light paralyzed Linda, lifting her above Manhattan to an oval spaceship. She claimed to have encountered three aliens resembling two-legged grey creatures, who conducted experiments on her before returning her to her apartment.

Notably, what adds credibility to this abduction case is that 23 individuals claimed to have witnessed it. This is documented in Budd Hopkins' 1996 book, *Witnessed: The True Story of the Brooklyn Bridge Abduction*, where he, a renowned ufologist, details the events.

The series incorporates archival interviews with Hopkins, who began investigating the case in February 1991 and was a strong proponent of Linda's account. In the Netflix trailer, he asserts to skeptics: "Linda is simply telling the truth. It's as easy as that."

The trailer indicates that the series follows Hopkins' investigation as he employs unconventional techniques such as hypnosis to uncover the truth. Alleged witnesses included two security guards and UN Secretary-General Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, who shared their experiences with Hopkins.
