Court questions jurisdiction in Nawaz case
The Accountability Court Islamabad has sought a reply from NAB regarding its jurisdiction over the Toshakhana reference against ex-PM Nawaz Sharif.
Judge Abida Sajjad conducted a hearing in Toshakhana cases against ex-PM Nawaz Sharif, President Zardari and Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani.
Nawaz Sharif's counsel, Rana Irfan, submitted a request on behalf of his client, arguing that recent NAB amendments exclude the case from the accountability court's jurisdiction, and thus the reference should be returned.
