The anti-polio drive continued for the third day in Rawalpindi district.
In two days, Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) has been administered to 285,412 children. In the first two days of the anti-polio campaign, the number of children who were not available for polio vaccinations was 84,503, out of which 49,512 children were reached by end of day and successfully vaccinated against polio. The remaining 34,991 unavailable children have also been identified and will be vaccinated.
Additionally, of the 204 children whose parents initially refused to give polio drops to their children, 86 were administered polio vaccine to the children after the polio teams successfully managed to convince their parents.
