Vice President Kamala Harris introduced a custom Fortnite map titled ‘Freedom Town, USA!’ on October 28, as part of her presidential campaign efforts to reach younger, gaming-focused voters.
Promoted through a YouTube trailer and her campaign website, the map aimed to convey Harris' key campaign messages in a digital space.
Despite these efforts, the map has seen minimal engagement, with the Fortnite GG website reporting that peak usage reached only 383 players within the first 24 hours. In contrast, popular maps like Ranked Reload saw player counts nearing 323,783 during the same period, and other Creative Mode maps regularly attract 25,000–40,000 players.
One distinctive feature of ‘Freedom Town, USA’ is the absence of guns, aligning with a campaign initiative to focus on non-violent gameplay. Instead, players can participate in activities like parkour, building, and challenges, including collecting Harris campaign posters.
Wait. Kamala’s Fortnite map is literally called "Freedom Town, USA" but firearms are BANNED.

The jokes really do write themselves.😂 https://t.co/RooExwDFw6
The gun-free environment has drawn mixed reactions on social media, with some users questioning the appeal of such a map within Fortnite’s action-oriented community. Without further promotion, the map’s current engagement is expected to decline, marking a challenging start to Harris’ attempt to engage voters in the gaming world.
