'Bet it stinks of curry': Andrew Tate criticised for racist comment on Diljit Dosanjh

British-American influencer's comment follows Dosanjh’s gesture of gifting his jacket to a fan at his Delhi concert

British-American influencer Andrew Tate faces backlash over a racist comment he made about Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s gesture to a fan.

Currently, on his 2024 India Tour, Dosanjh shared a moment with an emotional female fan in Delhi, gifting her his jacket during his concert.

The video, widely shared on social media, shows the fan moved by the gesture, with her husband visibly emotional.

However, the positive moment quickly turned controversial as Tate posted a remark on X, saying, “Bet it stinks of curry.”

Known for his controversial and often offensive views, Tate’s comment was met with immediate criticism online.

One user replied, “Still smells better than sexual misconduct,” while another taunted, “Which is worse? A pedo or currified jacket?”

Tate has previously faced multiple allegations, including accusations of rape by two British women and other ongoing investigations related to underage trafficking and sexual misconduct.

Despite the serious allegations, Tate continues to deny all claims, asserting that he has only engaged in consensual activities.

This incident adds to Tate’s history of provocative remarks.

Recently, he clashed with Indian-American doctor Kirti Patel on social media. The exchange began when Patel criticised Tate’s physique following a post in which he claimed, “I don’t sleep with vaccinated women.” Tate responded with a series of mocking tweets aimed at Patel’s appearance.

Facing several charges that could lead to a decade in prison if convicted, Tate remains a divisive figure.
