Elon Musk recently brought Donald Trump’s viral podcast appearance on 'The Joe Rogan Experience' to X after YouTube faced what he called “technical difficulties” that kept fans from finding the three-hour interview on the platform.
With fans eager to watch Trump’s highly publicized discussion with Rogan, some users claimed that YouTube’s visibility issues amounted to “censorship.” Musk reposted the episode on X, sharing Rogan’s comment, “Full episode of @JoeRogan & @realDonaldTrump available on 𝕏! YouTube experienced some uh… technical difficulties.”
The podcast episode rapidly climbed to 33 million views on YouTube within its first two days and has now exceeded 38 million views, edging toward becoming one of the most-watched *Joe Rogan Experience* episodes ever.
Musk shared the video as it passed his own 2020 guest episode, which had garnered 34 million views, making it now one of the second-most viewed JRE episodes to date, alongside Edward Snowden’s 2019 episode.

Some fans speculated that the video’s inconsistent search results might be intentional, though Rogan clarified, “There is no issue with YouTube censoring the Trump episode. It was just supposed to go live on both Spotify and YouTube at the same time and there was a glitch in Spotify’s upload system, so we delisted the YouTube link until it’s fixed.”
Despite Rogan’s reassurance, speculation continued circulating, with some YouTube users noting that even as views climbed, the video was not consistently visible in search results.
Musk, however, pointed to X as an alternative for those affected, offering the podcast free from what he hinted might be restrictive search algorithms on other platforms.
The interview continues to draw millions of viewers and conversations across platforms, with Musk’s role in the re-sharing process spotlighting X as a platform for unrestricted access to trending content.
